In order to get paid quicker once the job is completed, you need to understand the triggers that lead carriers to process payments. It’s really pretty simple – is the scope of repair completed and is the customer satisfied? If they get a “YES” to both questions, the trigger trips and the payment is processed.
Waiting for the adjuster to get around to asking the customer if the job is done and if they’re satisfied could take weeks or longer. That’s the single reason why the delay is so long. Or, you could get a signed Certificate of Completion from the owner, and that settles the question. “Yes,” the job is done, and “Yes” I am satisfied with the work. It’s as simple as that. Two brief sentences and a signature submitted to the adjuster will shorten your payment delay. If you do this each and every time you will quicken the time from “Job Completed” to “Job Paid.”
